About Me
Helping patients and families heal since 2008
Having been in the field since 2008 working with individuals, couples, and families in many capacities, I found my passion in helping those struggling with addictions and their loved ones to better their lives. I have my Masters from South University in Clinical Mental Health and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor certified by the State of Florida. I am also EDIT (Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy) certified. My career began in mental health through behavioral health and treatment planning for individuals and their family members. During graduate school, I worked on a mobile crisis unit responding to an at-risk population. I went on to spend 8 years at a world renowned dual diagnosis treatment facility where I was able to work each day with identified patients struggling with the entire spectrum of addiction issues and personality disorders. I drew specific focus on eating disordered individuals and those struggling with process addictions and have pursued additional education and training to provide effective support to this sensitive issue. I have primarily utilized DBT, CBT, experiential therapy, family dynamics therapy, intuitive therapy, and narrative therapy in my practice. I am known to be direct and honest in my approach and pride myself on speaking the truth to patients from a place of care and compassion.
I was also afforded the opportunity to get hands on with the family members of the addicted individual over the years. A goal of mine is to help the family navigate these relationships in healthier and more effective ways. This is a critical element of the recovery process, as in order for the individual to recover, the family will have to heal from the trauma of enduring their loved one's actions as well. Families often develop unhealthy coping skills in trying to help their loved ones and this requires a unique skill set to unlearn and restructure. I am fully committed to helping the entire system regain peace.
I look forward to engaging on this journey with you.

What To Expect At Your Visit
I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among patients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
All About Therapy
The bravest people are willing to dig deep within themselves to elicit the change in their world that they so desire. Through the various use of psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my patients develop the skills to overcome life long patterns of belief, behavior, and thought that are causing difficulty in their level of functioning in the world. As an experienced and skilled clinician, I would be honored to embark on this journey with you.
